Zigong Safam Cast Iron Co. is a specialist in the production of caps for insulators for transmission lines and other malleable iron castings. It has an annual production capacity of 7500 M.T with a plan to increase up to 15000 M.T by 2011.
Its main equipments applied for melting, moulding, core –making, galvanizing, quality control etc. are imported from France. Since the advanced technology management systems and processes of France are adopted, the manufacturing is based on the same quality standards. This has made Zigong an important production base of cast iron caps for toughened glass insulators.
The Equipments and Technology used are:
- 2 units of 3t/h shower cooling cupola (French patent technology)
- 2 units of 3t/h insulating fore hearth
- French mechanical moulding line. Output: 120 moulds/h
- Automatic control sand plant
- French continuous treatment furnace. Output: 170 t/m
- 4 units of resin sand box core-making machines.
- French continuous mechanical hot dip galvanizing equipment
